How it works
Same data as apple.com
The server asks Apple's store-pickup service for all eight iPhone Duo configurations near each watched zip code, the same request the "Pick up" step of checkout makes.
Always on
Stores with alerts are checked about every 20 seconds whether or not anyone has the page open. Nearby zip codes share the same stores, so each store is checked once no matter how many people watch it, and requests are paced so Apple sees a steady trickle rather than bursts. If Apple throttles, polling backs off automatically and resumes.
Fast, specific alerts
You're alerted on the transition from unavailable to available, filtered to the colors, sizes, and stores you picked. Each alert links straight to the reserve page.
Not affiliated with Apple. Availability can change in seconds; a reservation is only yours once apple.com confirms it.
